Hayley Prior

Miss Hayley has studied
performing arts and dance under the direction of the highly
recognised Sarah Boulter and Lisa Bowmer and is now a graduate
from a full time performing arts course at the highly respected
Ev & Bow Fulltime Performing Arts School.
Since the age of 3 years old the passion for dancing has been
the inspiration that has lead to many great achievements for
Hayley. As a young student Hayley auditioned and became a member
of both the 2001 American Tour Group and the 2005 World Tour
Group which then gave her the opportunity to study under some of
the most prestigious teachers and choreographers throughout the
world which in turn has lead her to the most amazing experiences
in this field.
Her achievements as a young dancer have given her much respect
in her field. Just to name a few, she was awarded the 2003
Senior Jazz Scholarship, at the Sutherland Shire Eisteddfod. She
was the youngest competitor in the competition at only thirteen
years of age and surprised the adjudicator with her mature
performance of “Bonnie and Clyde”. |
In 2004 &
2005 Hayley was a finalist in the prestigious Australian Dance
Idol Competition held in Sydney with hundreds of competitors and
she was in the final 10. In 2005 Hayley was the highest scoring
competitor in the regional showcase championships, winning all
dance sections in the showcase.
In 2007 Miss Hayley was placed 1st in the state for her dance
HSC which was an extremely prestigious achievement and was
awarded to her by Morris Iemma, and highly publicised throughout
the media.
In 2008 Hayley was a finalist in the Open age Contemporary
McDonalds Performing Arts section which is of the highest
standard in Australia. Also she was a member of the $5000
winning piece for the highly prestigious "Dance of the
Champions" held at the Science Theatre Sydney University. This
competition involves more than 500 elite dancers.
Miss Hayley has a love of choreography and has put together many
pieces for championships and scholarships at many eisteddfods
around Sydney and Wollongong with outstanding results. Also she
is responsible for choreographing school dance ensemble pieces
throughout the shire and local areas. Her 2005 piece, ‘Bound
against Freedom’ was recognised and selected to be performed as
part of the Student State Dance Showcase as well as the State
Dance Festival.
Hayley is currently involved in many performing arts productions
including modelling and acting. She has appeared in ‘Think like a
Champion Dance like a Star’ written by Grant Davies and the 2008
Luna Park Sydney commercial. Her current jobs involve many areas
of the performing art field such as performances in the “Cassie
Davis 2008 film clip” as well as the “Town Hall Steps - Disco
Film Clip”. Currently she is working on some live performances
such as “The Wrong Show” and “De Ja Vu’ Cabaret”. Important in
this industry is Hayley’s contacts in the performing arts fields
and her enthusiasm to assist students in finding areas that can
expand on their passion for performing.
Miss Hayley is so looking forward to another year of working
with the students to make a fun, safe and rewarding experience
for all involved and looks forward to passing on her love of
dance and the performing arts with an exciting new twist! |
Brooke Pappas

Miss Brooke is a highly accomplished dance teacher. Completing a Bachelor of Arts (Dance) Bachelor of Education at the University of New South Wales with a strong focus on the education and teaching practices of Dance and Theatre and Performing studies.
The course has a major focus on Dance in the styles of Modern, Contemporary and Classical Ballet. A theoretical study of dance as an art form, dance analysis, dance history and the study of dance injuries and anatomy. Brooke now teaches dance and drama in high schools around Sydney.
Brooke has eight years of teaching experience in well respected dance studios around Sydney. She has also been involved in many dance camps and choreographed numerous dance works for solos, duos and groups that have competed at eisteddfods with outstanding results, as well as performing in festivals, local shopping centres and community fairs.
Her performance experience is extensive. With eighteen years of dance training in the styles of Jazz, Tap, Classical Ballet (RAD), Modern, Contemporary, Funk and Stretch and Strength. She has completed many dance exams, including Royal Academy of Dance Major Examinations with distinction results. Brooke herself has performed numerous times at eisteddfods, shopping centres, festivals, fairs and charity events. |
She was a NRL State of Origin cheerleader, Western Sydney International Dragway (WSID) cheerleader and most recently is performing in the group Déjà vu Cabaret, a dance act that has performed in clubs, at weddings and festivals around Sydney and interstate. |
Bryson Prior

Mr Bryson will be teaching Hip Hop to the younger students this year.
Bryson has worked with predominant choreographers such as Sarah Boulter and Marko Panzic (So You Think You Can Dance Choreographers), Ian Knowles and Victoria Chu.
Bryson was a top 10 finalist in Australian Dance Idol and performed numerous years in the Australia Day performance of “Opera In The Park”
In 2009 Bryson completed and graduated from a contemporary dance course at Ev & Bow Dance Training Centre.
Look out for Mr Bryson in the new series of “Underbelly 3.”

Catherine Della-Fiorentina

Miss Catherine was born in Sydney and did her early training with Barbara Chambers and Kim Traynor. She continued her studies and obtained an Associate Diploma in the Arts (Dance) at QUT. Upon graduation, she worked with both Expressions Qld Dance Theatre and the Queensland Ballet Company.
Her love of travel took her to London where she taught dance and studied acting appearing in BBC productions like Eastenders, French and Saunders and Allo Allo. After working in commercials and videos, Catherine was accepted into Diversions Dance Co. In Wales.
In her five years with the company, she became leading dancer and ballet master and toured extensively throughout the UK, Europe and Asia and worked with New York choreographers Bill T.Jones and Daniel Ezralow.
She was then invited to dance at the Jacobs Pillow Festival in the USA where she went on tour and taught workshops on the East Coast. More freelance work in London, Philadelphia, Toronto and Sydney before retiring.

Aside from performing, Catherine’s teaching career is diverse ranging from professional dancers, students, special needs, actors and even Welsh rugby players. In 2001, Catherine achieved Distinction for the Royal Academy of Dance teacher’s certificate and is now sharing her love of dance with tiny tots to adults.

Elise Dunlop

Miss Elise since the age of four Miss Elise has studied all forms of Performing Arts, Elise began her training at Dance Kinetic School of Performing Arts, and in 2009 graduated at the highly respected Ev and Bow Fulltime Performing Arts School, Elise has worked with predominant choreographers such as Sarah Boulter, Matt Lee, and Marko Panzic, which can all be seen on the dance show, “So You Think You Can Dance.”
Elise completed her HSC in 2008 where she was nominated for Onstage, which is an annual showcase of outstanding individual and group performances in Drama.
In 2002 Elise travelled overseas to New York and Los Angeles where she trained at Broadway Dance Theatre and LA Dance Force. Elise also performed and studied at Disneyland California.
Elise is currently working at Luna Park as an actress where she plays ‘Luna Belle’. Elise also appeared on the “So You Think You Can Dance 2010 "ON THE STREET" Promotion.

Neale Whittaker

Mr Neale has trained in many areas of dance such as Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, Contemporary, Funk, Ballet and many others.
Neale has been taught by many prestigious teachers throughout the world such as The Edge in LA and Broadway Dance Centre in New York, not to mention the highly respected Sarah Boulter and Marko Panzic from “So You Think You Can Dance.”
Neale is always busy working in the performing arts industry such as a Luna Park entertainer and the new show to be featured, “Dance Academy.”
This year Mr Neale will be a major part of the 2010 “So You Think You Can Dance.” Please keep your eyes peeled for Mr Neale this season
